Products Usage
Titanium Hydride (TiH2) (CAS 7704-98-5) is commonly used in ceramics, pyrotechnics, sports equipment, as a laboratory reagent, as a blowing agent, and as a precursor to porous titanium. When heated as a mixture with other metals in powder metallurgy, titanium hydride releases hydrogen which serves to remove carbon and oxygen, producing a strong alloy.
1. Titanium Hydride (TiH2) can be used in the enhancement of fracture by localized plastic deformation and brittle fracture for titanium and titanium alloy.
2. Titanium Hydride (TiH2) can be used in the hydrogen evolution and hydrogen storage.
3. Titanium Hydride (TiH2) can also be used in the foaming of aluminum due to its decomposition temperature closer to aluminum’s melting point.
