In pharmaceutical:
Salicylic acid is a natural anti-inflammatory drugs. It is also used as pharmaceutical intermediates, for the preparation of aspirin, sodium salicylate, salicylamide, analgesic, etc. Salicylic acid can help curing chronic skin diseases such as acne and hemorrhoids.
In Industry:
In rubber industry, salicylic acid is used as scorch retarder and absorbent & foaming agent for ultraviolet ray; as preservative for epoxy resin, etc.
In cosmetics:
As preservatives for toilet water, prickly heat water, quinine water, etc
Salicylic acid is also widely used in food, fragrances, dyestuffs and agrochemicals
